The level of sophistication of many of the fabrics and draperies coming out of the mid century really epended on geogrpahical locations...for instance a fabric such as this in my experience from collecting and buying...came from areas like Los Angeles and Palm Springs...more of a tropical area with components of the dessert where florals and dessert style plants were more common...yucca for instance which is prevalent in this pattern was very dessert chic...found in the mountains and desseert valleys of the region. It was also these areas that had a more wealthy clientele of home owners that allowed a more luxe...expensive idea of drapery...such as mixing satins and upholstery cottons together to create the magic of this fabulous texture with a sheen that adds richness and sophistication to the outcome.
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel in never used condition...I have SIX available being sold by the yard...a ground that is a creamy off beige with a luxe sheen...tons of tangerine orange...shell pink...TONS OF CHARTREUSE....limes...deepest dark emerald green...with gray and white accents. This heavy duty fabric is a notoriously rare style called "Mural Designs" which are designs created using full panels...so you are getting one huge design encompassing the entire height and width of the panel...one of those rare commodities never found anymore. Each panel is lined with a nice sturdy cotton lining in unused condition and each panel measures 25 inches wide at pleats...45 inches wide at bottom width and 92 inches long. These are in STELLAR condition and would have hung in a very special home...maybe even the likes of one of the original brat pack stars of the day. Expect stunning...worthy of designing a home around!
