Hawaiiana by definition is way too simple than what the reality of it is...defined as all things hawaiian. But so much gets lost in that simple translation...like the passion and embodiment that IS the Hawaiiana Movement...a conspring of vintage lovers who spend their whole lifely ambitions searching for vintage Hawaiian items for which to decorate their abodes...they come from far and wide...the whole world was swept away by the movement of the 1940's...remote tropical places like Kansas and Arizona saw these idyllic designs of espieclally vintage tropical barkcloth fabrics transforming homes...basement rec rooms and of course guest suites of many a hotel from Waikiki to Miami Beach. If you've never met a Hawaiiana collector then you don't know what you're missing...they are some of my favorite people who show up mid orgasm to my shows where often times the first aid needs to be summoned to enliven the victims. ;) There is a spirit...an essence...something soul-ful...connective and at the crux of my own personal lifeline of which I adore and have always been drawn...Hawaiiana!
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel in brand new...unused...unwashed...IMMACULATE condition...I have 4 available being sold individually...it is a whole other special textile benediction of sorts that allows such grandness to still be around...let alone in this extraordinary condition. A cool pinky off beige ground with robustly brand new colors that are taking my breath away as we speak...excuse me while I regain my breath...maybe a drink of cool water will help! Beautiful turquoise greens...so gorgeously deep and dark and also creamy and electric...deep brick red...coral flamingo pinks...asparagus limes...minty green...tangerine...blood orange...handsome deep dark chocolate with white accents. This more smooth cotton has less texture than that of a traditonal barkcloth...but holds the same quintessential quality as that of its counterparts...signed like that of a movie star "Saison Happily Married Fabrics Vat Prints". Expect brand new 1940's vintage...as if you traveled back in time to the sweet lady with the multi gray bifocals attached to a chain around her neck...to cut this phenomenal fabric! Measures 46 inches wide x just a tad less than 80 inches. There is pleater tape on the back side for hanging...you can see even the pleater tape is brand new and never had a hook in it! Someone had these made and just put em away.
