Dorothy Draper would have been MAD over this SWANK beauty...made by Waverly in the 30's and 40's called "Samoa"...the inspiration from the island of Samoa where the tropics are bold and beautiful on this polynesian island. Made in the USA for places like Miami's South Beach Deco Hotels...Hawaiian cottages. This relic is still stiff from never being washed and is in immaculate unused conditionA fabulous signature on the selvedge "A Waverly Bonded Fabric Samoa"...lots of color...if you like me and crave a riot of colors like a junkie...and seek to release loads of seratonin to make you happy...then this one will not disappoint
This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 inches wide of a very fabulous yardage of an extraordinary outrageously colorful pattern of barkcloth ...I have 3YDS available you can buy individually...tons of electric chartreuse and citron limes...coral pink...true red...turquoise blues that vary from bold to creamy...radiant purples...minty jadeite green...dark and creamy limes with black accents on a stark clean untouched white ground. This highly textured barkcloth is one of the most rare of the tropical patterns coming out of my collecting in Miami Beach...this yardage is what is left of a bolt recovered in 1989 from a close Miami Beach fabric shop that has been dormant for decades. It is in mint cond.
