Certainly what I wouldn't give to be dancing through orbit...but having them on this terrific textile will have to do...in all their glory they exude a 1950's Miami Beach vibe...cool flamingo pink and caribbean turquoise give insight into the mind of the artist who first conjured up this design. As a collector I have various idisynchrocies of what turns me on with what I love...there are often many variations of what appeals to me...for many reasons...one is that I fantasize about the artists who created these wonderful patterns...who defied the norms of traditionalism in the 1950's and instead their minds ventured to space age and science...who's art and voice was put onto cotton. So for me I honor those artists as today many remain nameless...having simply used their creative minds for the larger capital of a fabric manufactuering label that got all the credit.

This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 inches wide of a original old stock yardage from the 1950's. I have EIGHT YARDS available being SOLD BY THE YARD. A fabulous texture of cotton barkcloth with a medium gray ground with geometric shapes in charcoal...black and white...with flamingo pink and creamy turquoise blue green dancers in abstract shapes with tiny little dot heads. The selvedge is signed "Guaranteed to be a Vat Colors" and "Orbit". This is never washed immaculate yardage that was stored impeccably for the last 65 years.
