Tropical Baroque...it wasn't just Miami Beach that was onto the major design trend being introduced by none other than Ms. Dorothy Draper herself...where large scale larger than life designs come to life on fabrics...and when it comes to the more tropical Art Deco designs used in places like Miami Beach...this design was front and center of a design metamorphasis that was changing design and inspiring a whole generation of designers as they entered the mid century. These patterned fabrics were carefully planned using pattern and colors...and would be approved by design boards of major textile companies who would put the sketch to cotton in a style that was sweeping the nation.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 inches wide of a unused...unwashed...GLORIOUS Art Deco design powerhouse with all the wonderful bells and whistles these pretigious patterns are known for. A thickest and nubbiest of all the barkcloth textures...this is one to be had...ready to make some fab pillows or upholstery projects...a deepest darkest merlot burgundy ground...so handsome and chic...the darkness allows the bold colors to entertain the eye like they do...bold citron EXPLOSIVE chartreuse lime...varied grays...easter grass green...with a aqua/caribbean blue unexpected pop of goodness...with black and white accents. Signed on the selvedge "Guaranteed to be a Preshrunk GOLDCO Vat Print".
Expect immaculate...a very slight fold line down center where it was folded on the bolt...otherwise Flawless old stock.
