Op art, short for optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions. Op art works are abstract, with many better known pieces created in black and white. Typically, they give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibrating patterns, or of swelling or warping. But this one isn't simply just a fabulous example of Op Art...but it also has a MERMAID vibe with the shapely movement and bubbles...I could totally see this used for any modern application...but this could also be super sweet in a child's bedroom or playroom!
This offering is for ONE YARD x 55 inches wide of unused old stock decorator fabric from the 1960's. I have 3 more yards also available sold individually. In perfect condition as the day it was made. A deep aubergine purple ink ground with a dark jade/kelly green...could also be a blue green...a heavier weight cotton...definitely a upholstery/drapery grade...expect brand new 1960's vintage. You can't go wrong.
