The stars from Hollywood made their way to Palm Springs in the mid century...lured by the sunshine and mountains affording the kind of views so special it was worthy of building a whole resort like second life for movie stars and the likes...mid century was a movement notably from 1938 to 1970...mid century originated in Southern California...showcasing versatility with incorporating the beauty of the outdoors within indoor decors because the warmer climate allowed for it...it quickly spread like wildfire across the country to Miami Beach...and before long it didn't matter what climate you lived...mid century was unleashed and being its architecture being applied all over the world...understated...clean...large walls of glass all gave way to a movement of living that was simple...yet dramatic...it was this movement that inspired the likes of textiles...patterns and prints that would exclusively be congruent with both mid century and simplistic decor.
This offering is for ONE ready to drapery panels...I have 4 available...each panel is lined with its original lining...the fabric is a rayon mix barkcloth...lightly created and textured...it is one of the 17 identified textures of barkcloth...the pattern showcases tall palms and a cathedral like streetscape that could easily be a streetscape on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach too...a off creamy white ground...true red...citron lime...latte...chocolate...black with gray accent...Measures 40 inches wide x 84 inches long...each panel originally had pleats that I removed to give them a nice overal drama and view of the complete pattern that in my opinion gets lost in pleating. So you would have to hang with ring clips as is...or I could add a rod pocket to the back side. Let me know! expect perfect...timeless and fabulous...no wear...odors...stains...just sheer flawlessness...
