It's called Design Fairview and it exhibits a architectural platform of a 1950's mid century city scape...of course I see NYC...showcasing modernism at its finest...with all the fixings for mid century swank! This unused 1950s yardage showcases a look into the striking architecture that was breathing new like into suburbs and creating a whole new architectural landscape right across many a downtown bridge circa 1958. Bridges that replaced ferries and allowed mass commuting...hence the idea of rambling mid century subdivisions were born that defied the containment of downtown living due to lack of bridges. Today there is a resurgence that is captivating this iconic time in American design history. I have 10 yards of this unused 1950s old stock. Ready to create some fun and crazy pillow art!
This offering is for ONE YARD x 36 inches wide of a extremely spectacular and rare vintage textile!. I have 8YDS available being sold by the yard. A wonderfully textured upholster grade barkcloth...hitting the market around the 1955-1958 mark of the mid century...it is unused and in brand new condition...I have the original tag identifying it as a "Dalmor Fabric Design Fairview". A white ground with a motling of slight grays that show breeze movements...a lovely mixture of creamy jadeite and emerald lime greens...paired robustly with this radical red...charcoal gray and canary yellow create a work of art on cotton...the perfect antidote to a bad day...let us make you some pillow art from this iconoc fabric...or buy it as yardage. I have more of this yardage and the tag will only go to someone who buys all of the yardage. Rare and priced for serious collectors and designers.
