I love studying a good barkcloth pattern...it is like reading a good book...the more you read...the more you are sucked in...and of you have a design sense of history and imagination you can see things...perceptions intended by the artist...or you can see things completely on your own...for the art is not always what the artist intended...but how its viewers perceive it...I see New Orleans...southern elements of magnolia and cherries...but the iron works element also adds some sensational fanfare and intrigues the mind to really see want to look through the lens of the artists...it is as if quite literally the artist put the lens of the camera right up against the most ornate iron scrolls and took a photo of the inside of a park beyond it...these interesting beautiful patterns and colorways are often better than a good book...because its often your own story...
This offering is for ONE YARD...some fantastic unused yardage...I have EIGHT YARDS x 47 inches wide that you can buy as much as you need...in one continuous yardage...a luxe emerald turquoise green ground...heavily textured as we love our barkcloth...magnolias in fabulous shades of berry pinks...shell pink and this AMAZING minty blue that up against that pink just sends me...a medley of warm chocolates...creamy varied lime foliage...brick red...with black and white accents...this unused original old stock yardage hails from the 40's/50's and is authentically the good textured stuff...
Condition is immaculate...unused old stock brand new condition...no fold lines...no fading...not even a weird odor...stored perfectly for some 70 years!
