That perfect chartreuse becomes the artful canvas of a 1930's textile...with caribbean swag in a colorway and pattern that embodies the tropics meets Martha's Vineyard...Mrs Dorothy Draper surely would have been smitten with the likes of this larger than life Hollywod Glam meets Hollywood Regency yardage. Robust pinky reds...coral red pink...shell pink...caribbean blue...jadeite limes...electric honeydew lime...darkest chocolate...burgundy...pops of turquoise green...with white accents...a beautiful heavy weave of barkcloth...upholstery grade. I've always had an affinity for the colorful and robust chartreuse...I always thought that would be what I'd name my first born if ever...but alas...the only chartreuse chillins I gotz running around are these fantabulous chartreuse barkcloth patterns...my dearly departed friend and Miami Beach senior citizen ICON of the South Beach scene...he was a gay Art Deco extraordinaire...always dressed in full suits and fedora hats...................and sneakers...his walker filled with gadgets...pottery he picked up at a yard sale...barkcloth he snagged from a hustler peddling from abandoned hotels...everyone knew him...and chartreuse was his passion...it embodied his apartment...which was a Art Deco haven...his pops of chartreuse old McCoy Pottery and Deco heirlooms against his palm green walls was nothing short of ORGASMIC for any young impressionable old soul as I was...see there are some of us who bleed chartreuse...it runs gleefully through our veins in such a way it creates spurts of happiness...did you know that the color chartreuse came from the name of a french liqueur...it's true...that perfect pop...a cross between yellow and green...and indeed this is...pure unadulterated beauty!
