Hollywood Glam is much more than a style honey...it's a way of life...a spirit within...far more than a search title oversaturated with so many things so NOT Hollywood Glam...but these...oh these...YES these...most heart warming and luxurious offering is for something that EMBODIES Hollywood Glam...it was the days of Crawford and starlets renowned for not only the film in which they premiered...but nothing was more captivated of an audience than a good spread of a Hollywood starlets home in "Good Housekeeping"...where the late 30's and early 40's were evoking a trend that would sweep america by storm...using cottage florals...mostly higher end barkcloth fabrics not found at the local Five & Dime...but rather through the aristocratic bureaucracy of a designer who would come to the home with sample books of textiles and wall coverings...patterns tailor made for the ones with more influence and money of course...so you can see the spread now...a wall of french doors with floor to ceiling draperies puddling to the floor...iron and wicker sun rooms so extravagant with floral pattern on pattern and stripe on stripe...creating the miracle of balance in a room...much like a iconic piece of ART...that my friends is Hollywood Glam :) I also have unused yardage of this pattern too!
This offering is for ONE ready to hang barkcloth drapery panel...I have EIGHT of these unused...perfectly stored beauties...I've washed them to freshen and pressed them right back into 1930's condition...you will be amazed at these stunning reminders of what is no more...you can reproduce a fabric that is new...but it comes with no story...no background of nostalgia...or sentimentality...THIS...comes with all of the above....the use of white calla lilies is absolutely iconic to why this pattern is so special...they are uplifting...fresh...they signify new life and convey a romanticism in a way others won't...and can't...a colorway paired so brilliantly with pattern...I love when true red and shell pinks are mixed with jadeite grassy greens...it's a thing...what can I say...each of these colors pulls a different heart string...the bright chartreuse and lemony yellows...dark chocolate accents...and bright white callas with dove gray shading on a ultra creamy white barkcloth ground...all cotton of course. Measures 33 inches wide x 80 inches long...a rod pocket at top for hanging...but how sophisticated they'd look hung classically on ring clips from a sophisticated rod...original 1930's barkcloth beauties...buy as many as your heart demands...FLAWLESS...
