A mid century twist of pure mid century deliciousness...you can imagine the handsome home these treasured textiles were designed for in the late 40's and 50's...often divans as daybed convertibles were called in the day...they would simply adjust from a small sofa/divan to a double bed for quests...very popular in the bohemian mid century movement of entertaining...cocktail parties and overnight guests...or as sill length draperies that conveyed a spirit of retreating from the period of puddling draperies to the floor that romanticized the Victorian and post Art Deco periods...designers were flocking to entice homeowners in newly built suburban atomic ranches to use these stunning...captivating and certainly not boring fabrics to bring together their dwellings in a way that customized it and made it editorial.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 47 inches wide...I have 3YDS a unused original old stock early 50's traditionally thick and nubby barkcloth...heavy weight...great for upholstery...draperies...pillows...handbags and just about anything else your nostalgic heart can muster...a color combo of pure eames joy...tangerine red...creamy beige/fennel green...sort of putty green...darkest deepest spruce green...with black and white accents...a wonderful opportunity to bring some beloved vintage textiles into your space...and maybe...just maybe...it might too...be editorial :) Expect flawless brand new condition early 1950's fabric...as if you were transported back in time to purchase some wondrous barkcloth from the local fabric shop...
