Flowers are I think created for our serotonin levels...natures medicine so to speak...they say the sun gives us vitamin D...and I think flowers do something quite wonderfully too...part of our world many take for granted...I am one who sends myself flowers...and I found a wonderful way to send flowers on line to get a break on shipping and service charges...so I am literally only paying for the flowers...I can essentially send myself flowers for $20...in a lovely glass vase...a dozen lovely roses always somewhere lurking in this bungalow...little pops of sunshine and vitamins for that serotonin...gifts to self...and I extend those gifts to the world...sending flowers to those I love for no reason sometimes...just because I am one of those people who doesn't like to wait for holidays to express my love...I'd rather surprise people when they least expect it...everyone needs a good dose of beauty...so when I find a textile that evokes that freshness of real flowers...printed so amazingly well on cotton...it nearly takes my breath away...I stare closely into the fine details of the pattern...the breadth of the fine fibers of barkcloth...to find the sweetest colors that come together with such sweet cottage flavor and romance me...sweeping me off my feet by pure vintage beauty...exactly as the artist intended some 75+ years before...I'm honored!
