A very fun colored unglazed upholstery grade...even garment weight...the possibilities are endless...these colors so reminiscent of the old Howard Johnsons Motor Lodges of the last 70 years...the iconic orange and turquoise was something most every family of the time knew as they were traveling around america in their Chevrolet...but this sweet stripe also has the vibe and allure of the old cabana awnings...or the beach chairs of the 30's made of wood with striped fabrics that made them so lovely...when I was a tad bit less practical and UHHEMMMM...a tad bit smaller...I could get away with staging my house with artifacts such as old wooden beach chairs...and I did...that cottage look...I loved nothing more than showing up at the beach with my striped vintage chair...and chenille blankets...to bring a bit of old world to the beach...so if stripes are your fashion...then you won't be disappointed by this wonderful vintage offering...
This auction is for ONE YARD x 36 inches wide of fantastic cabana stripe cotton...its still on the original bolt marked "Guaranteed Fast to Washing"...most likely from the 40's 50's...lightweight and not heavily textured at all like a traditional barkcloth...but of the same era and anyone who loves barkcloth...usually loves the sweet varied textured striped companions...
Colors are nearly edible...tangerine orange...true turquoise blue...charcoal...papaya butterscotch...white and black...unglazed cotton...check pics for accurate weight and texture...expect immaculate...a nice treat to own such vintage cuteness!
