A time cemented iconic time period from the late 40’s through the early 60’s that reigned chaos in the design world where designers were clamoring to create the excitement of what the world was experiencing...the notion. of space travel...advancement in science and exploration. It was a palpable time for many and of course there were always a few that rejected the notion...protested the advancement of modern times...and clung too their safety nets of Jacobean floral drapers and mundane accessories...with a judgmental perch accessing the rest of the neighborhood quickly evolving into a diverse world of modernity. Well if you evolved...then perhaps today is kismet for you...and these draperies were just waiting for that special day you’d finally come along to meet.
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel in a mid century mod ready to hang drapery panel....I have SIX available sold individually. They are all in terrific condition...mostly unused....washed and ironed and clean. You will need to hang these with drapery hooks or create your own rod pockets. Currently it is hemmed on all 4 sides. A heavier weight nubby ribbed texture...with a kinetic experiment of pure space age fantasy...science book...algebra and geometry...are all channeled in this mid century great with a pizazz and swank all its own. A creamy white ground with candy apple red...teal lime...latte beige...creamy gray with black accents. Each panel measures 39 inches wide x 80 inches long. It’s possible some may be an inch or two longer than 80 inches. To find so many of these mod treasures that have been in hiding for 75 years is truly an experience worthy of diving head first into this purchase. If you love mid century or are just looking or a vintage mentality like no other...then you should not pass this up. Ridiculously fabulous.
