GLEN COURT...it is what we call in the barkcloth industry a "vintage textile BLESSING"...a earth shattering moment to come across something so rare and so unseen...so fabulous and so a part of the grand cottage movement of the 30's...Glen Court was not found in your local Five and Dime...rather more reserved for the elite and wealthy of the time...whenever I found Glen Court it was in mansions...high end...usually untouched...still hanging on windows and in place like it had been for many decades...when it comes to premier...there is nothing that compares to Glen Court!
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel...I have SIX available sold individually!!! They are HUGE! A rare sighting to be able to buy so many! A gorgeous RASPBERRY Burgundy ground...a nice rare treat...so YES a very RARE opportunity to own a piece of textile history second to none...glorious roses in varied pinks...chartreuse and lemon...flowers in beautiful periwinkle blues...a braiding of soft grays...foliage in deepest darkest jadeite green...creamy lime...and minty green...with black and white accents...one of those fabrics that is so rare a collector could put any price tag on because like any antique it appreciates the more rare and non existent they are...a nice investment in the future as well as stroking cottage hearts and souls. Each panel measures 20 inches at the pleated top...42 inches wide at bottom width and a whopping 92 inches long...these came from a New York estate and are in what I would say mostly never used condition...they are striking...colors profoundly bright and as bold as the day they were made. Guaranteed from the 1930's!!!
