Miami Beach as much of a epicenter of design prowess for Art Deco...it was not as quite well known for its iconic mid century design style that it played in the 20th century design movement. It was however a style that harkened its predecessor's Art Deco vibe...and took some of those shapes and added some space age to em...adding a colorway right out of Ocean Drive...pastels that set the scene for the dramatic atomic art on textile that embodies everything we know about Mid Century Miami Beach.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 48 inches wide of unused unwashed pastel minty green textured nubby barkcloth...I have 6YDS available sold by the yard...but as many as you wish and it will come in continuous yardage. A swank atomic yardage that has leanings of Miami Beach written all over it...imagery of an architectural amphitheater of instruments...drums and maracas...a umbrella covering the ampitheater...with wrought iron railings and a colorway that is reminiscent of 50’s Miami Beach and a beach amphitheater and band stands.that were peppered all along the beaches from South Beach to Bal Harbor! Rare to find this pastel minty green ground anywhere and especially with the flamingo pinks...they are just smashing...with the chocolates...pink and whites it takes on the allure of minty chocolate chip ice cream and neopolitan ice cream with black and innovative gold metallic added for some mid century bling. Signed “Guaranteed to be a preshrunk GOLDCO Vat Print”. There is a standard fold line down center as expected from being folded on the bolt for 75 years...easily washed out...but I think its best sold as unwashed old stock as that is very valuable. Flawless original old stock space age abstractness at your service.
