Mid Century cabins were all the rage in the 40's and 50's...the great escape to mountain retreats from city living...in NYC it was the Catskills...and Philadelphia the Poconos...these rustic primitive cabins were often utilitarian chic...a mix of modern conveniences and rustic old fashioned...eames style was immersed in mid century retreats...and pinecones were right there as part of the trend of mixing woodsy in with streamline modern to capture the ultimate mod cabin lodge allure...in the barkcloth world pinecones are well revered as one of the more collectible...hard to find...and comes with a unmatched ability to connect yesterday with todays spirit of vintage emotion...evoking not only that rustic feel...but a connectivity to the past as well...
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel...I have 2 available sold individually! This pattern is called "Lotus" and the colorway is "Nutmeg" and the selvedge is signed "Guaranteed to be Vat Colors and Preshrunk"...I know the name and colorway because I have the original tag with that information as I also own the original salesman samples of this fabric...a really nice thick and nubby traditional barkcloth...Lotus GALORE and the sweetest pinecones with a lime that is just screaming at me with lime and balsam pine greens that come together so fabulously that its just ORGASMIC...a sunny yellow...chocolate browns...dusty cocoa...a tangerine squash...with a nutmeg and white modeled ground...this pattern was a commonly photographed pattern in most every book on vintage barkcloth prints.. Measures 45 wide x 82 long and has a rod pocket at the top...although I much prefer a more sophisticated rod and ring clip...just showcases these beauties better...these draperies have never been hung so the fabric is amazing and in never used condition...flawless.We can make you a CUSTOM PILLOW from pretty much anything in our shop...message us so we can create a listing for you
