Lurex...a timeless ingredient of fabulous used in the late 40's and mostly through the 50's in the height of the mid century modern movement. It is woven into the deep dark turquoise green barkcloth in rows about half an inch part...perfectly woven straight lines. But it is this iconic print of objects...varying shapes that seemingly float on the dark ground...I love to float...its like magic...so I know how fabulous these objects must feel atop this scrumptious ground of barkcloth and lurex.
This auction is for 2YDS x 49 inches wide of unused unwashed original old stock. It's in immaculate still stiff condition ion from never being used. An atomic mid century kinetic barkcloth...with a emerald teal turquoise ground and pops of chartreuse lime...pink...turquoise blue...with black and white accents and the innovation of gold lurex threading woven in as part of the genius of this print. A 3D shadowed design of atomic amoebic shapes...scribbles showcasing a galaxy like sphere. Signed gloriously "CoFabCo Guaranteed Vat Print". If you love brand new vintage...you are gonna have to hold YO's bladder upon sight of this babeeeeee!
