VERA would have had a field day with this unused bolt I unearthed...the 1960's was a time of groove and flower power with a MOD ALOHA spirit...with also a very Park Avenue chic...NYC Upper East Side fashionable apartments bedecked with floor to ceiling draperies puddling so elegantly to the floor...it was the kind of sophistication that Good Housekeeping would have hosted Jackie Kennedy on the cover sitting casually on the arm of the sofa in maybe a pink tweed suit with heels with huge floor to ceiling windows showcasing the grand view of Central Park...a beautiful floral fabric of color and simplicity as draperies flanking the windows...these were the textile the more sophisticated 60's designer was showcasing at design shows...these are the fabric grand expanded California mid century mod ranches were harboring...simply a pattern and colorway of Hawaiian flowers with an abstract MOD approach that IS all THAT.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 36 inches wide...I have 10YDS available being sold by the yard...enough to really bring a true period Hawaiian VERA style into any space...but also a wonderful high end mix in for any contemporary loft space or high end setting...white formica...chrome and white leather chairs...teak wood coffee table...a stark white sofa with lime green pillows...maybe a few coordinating geometric designer pillows thrown in for good measure...maybe a driftwood centerpiece and a staggering of designer home coffee table books...could be the perfect venue for such period luxury...a stark white ground with spectacular turquoise and lime greens...the clever use of black boosts the mod element...a upholstery grade cotton...drapery...pillow...bedding...someone could even fashion some heavier garments from this weight...see close up photos of texture and weight so you can feel the same tingling I feel when I see it in person...expect FLAWLESS...
