3.3YDS Rural Countryside 1940's Primitive Scenic Farm Life Barkcloth Vintage Fabric

This offering is for 3.3YDS x 35 inches wide of unused unwashed flawless textured nubby barkcloth. A design aesthetic that is sure to transport you back to any farm that inspires your life. Mine was growing up in New Jersey and the Holmdel countryside where my grandfather worked as a horse groomer for Ms. Laurel harding...the granddaughter of President Harding. She sequestered herself in her farm...her long apple tree lined dirt and stone road that led to her farm house and barns and it looked really just like this. She seldom made an appearance at our weekly visits to visit pop pop...who had become her friend as they aged together. My best memory a fountain pool in front of her house where we'd strip to your undies and play in the water...it was then Laurel would appear with towels for us and sliced apples and cheese. Her Weimaraner dogs always in tow. That farm is called the "Bayonet Farm" and she donated it to the park system. The colors in this fabric are very fresh...lots of grassy limes...true red...coral red pink...varied lavender grays...and dove grays...chocolates and accents of black and white. A wonderful whimsical spirited barkcloth paying you an visit some 80 years later. Flawless.
