Living in Florida I've come to appreciate the rainy days...they provide a whole new level of that feel good feeling that seems to take over my body in complete relaxation and connectivity to the outside...the sky...the breezes and the universe...last night I sat on my front steps...cargo shorts...hoodie and bare feet...my ole standby...the location a slight variation of the comfort of my old stand by rusty old porch glider...it gave me a whole new view of my world...the tropical stormy breezes blowing...the dark sky with white clouds traveling as fast as a locomotive...my three lady fountain gently trickling water and the rustling of palms in the tropical breezes...the river boat horns and trains traveling in the distance carrying anxious sun worshipers to their final sunny destination...it is this old historic neighborhood and these early turn of the century homes and landscape that I could be sitting here just as well in 1930 and not know the difference...except for the occasional urban downtown noise of sirens and buses...which have become part of what I love about all of this...it's Florida Bungalow meets Carrie Bradshaw...its my world...it is what I appreciate...what I create...rainy...sunny...and any day in between...because being grateful for my life...for where I've come from...from what I've shed...has allowed this life of peace and tranquility to be mine...I often pinch myself...I didn't know I was so capable of appreciating the substance of the big ole universe and all that amazement and beauty...my eyes are all over the place taking it all in...as I watch it zoom in on my life at Florida Bungalow...grateful for this life ...it is a piece of every soul that ever touched mine...
