This lush and fabulous early 30's garden room print is a wonderful and most thick textured barkcloth...with a chic butter stamping effect and textured striping...in what they were calling cretonne of the day...at the thousands of shows Ive done in my life I can't tell you how many people run to my fabric display screaming "OH MY GOD MY MOTHER HAD CRETONNE"...a french town named Creton was the late 1800's start of cretonne and what would become known in the mid to late 1930's as barkcloth...known for its lush softness and thickness that came together melted with uber cottage patterns like these florals...fully equipped to bring any housewife of the day to her knees with creative used in which to best bring this textile to life...likely upholstery and drapery projects...if you study the colors you will see some lush other colors that are winter's best antidote...faint chartreuse...jade green...purple...lavender...darkest teal...creamy lime...with generous white accents...washed to freshen and immaculate...sweet smelling...clean and soft as can be...some people wait a lifetime for these rare specialties to come along...but today I am bringing it practically right to your door step...how can you possibly pass that up!
