This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 wide...I have 4 yards available…a medium weight mildly textured cotton...never used...so your getting a premier piece of nostalgic barkcloth from the fabulous days...the 30's and 40's when literally barkcloth and these tropical designs were influencing the designs of hotels everywhere you looked...making Miami's South Beach synonymous with barkcloth...a pure watery gray ground...very light and neutral...deep burgundy...a true red...lime...golden squash yellow and canary yellow...darker gray accents with black and white accents...signed wonderfully "Guaranteed to be Vat Prints"...washed to freshen and truly a fabulous find!

artists and cafe owners could no longer compete...now don't get me wrong...I love the Cheesecake Factory and Bath and Body Works...Coach and Tommy Bahama...but something got lost in that...the sweetness is still there...the romance can still be found...but its a different caliber to the true community spirits who ran Coconut Grove...which has since been lost...tourism has set in and loads of people descend on it every day...again...I love people...can handle crowds...but my heart longs for the days to sit quietly beside the quaint narrow streets with a fresh brewed cup a joe by a coffee artisan...or to stroll the art galleries to meet the local dwellers who lived above their galleries or at least within walking distance...Coconut Grove was always its own bubble...surrounded by the bay...but on the other sides the issues of poverty set in...ghettos...where literally there was a line between the ghetto and the grove...as soon as you crossed it you were most definitely in another world...we can never bring back the times we crave...they are but mere memories...my beloved dear friend Judy passed in 2004 changing everything for me...Miami Beach will indeed never be the same...I mean really...how could it!
