Miami Beach circa 1937 was a time of such spirited glitz and glam...it was almost a experimental time of testing the limits of tourism in a post depression era that catapulted the Art Deco hotel scene into a mellow-dramatic...fanciful...illuminating style that was commissioned as the legacy of mixing tropical patterns with the more serious mohair...velvets...damasks and brocades of the times. When you look back at design history...it would be Miami’s South Beach neighborhood that would ignite a firestorm of interest...then and now come 90 years later. Unbelievable!
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel...I am offering them as ready to hang newly made drapery panels with brand new almost black out lining...I have SIX available being sold individually...showcasing one of the most intoxicating...rare and dynamite patterned barkcloth drapery panels. A extraordinary black ground...crisp and unfaded...tons of electricity runs through the veins of the colors of this tropical textured barkcloth! Tons of chartreuse...deep dark teal...wasabi lime...deep dark merlot...raspberry purple pink...bubble gum pink...dark chocolate...with aqua robins egg blue and white accents. Each measures 40 inches wide x 80 inches long. There is pleater tape at the backside for use of drapery hooks or just hang with stylish ring clips. I will not make these with new linings until they sell so there will be a two week turn around time for shipment. If you prefer these not made into drapery panels just message me.
