Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. A dreamy underwater show that harkens back to the old Florida mermaid shows of the mid century...mermaids on billboards as you enter Florida...and the hotel bars in Miami Beach that had windows built to their pools for spectators to view...but the best was the Weeki Wachee Mermaid Shows right in the natural springs. I hear you can still find a elusive mermaid if you search! A tiki extravaganza of tropical water foliage...and you can see the artists display of water movement in very light oyster gray...watch long enough and perhaps you’ll be paid a visit! A crisp white unused barkcloth made from a partial bolt of this 1940’s print I’be hoarded for decades...dark teal...radiant coral red...milky chocolate...dark chocolate...wasabi lime...and oyster gray. Paired with a double piping of charcoal and chartreuse lime and a fabulous coral red on the backside that just ties this baby together as a artful sensation! Measures 23" wide x 18" long With a hidden zipper for easy removal of insert. Perhaps like me...you are also a mermaid or merman...so what better accoutrement to have lounging in your comfy mermaid cove!
