Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover WITH INSERT...when it comes to things my young soul though I'd never part with...well then it has to be this...a rare unused remnant cut from the original 1940's bolt of souvenir novelty fabric that would have been used for scrap like pillows or clothing. I have made it into a upholstery fabric by stabilizing the backside with a iron on stabilizer. A rare rare rare pattern that exudes everything you'd wish for from the Hawaiian islands. A crisp black ground with hula girls and the advertising of pineapples as Hawaii is the land of pineapples....lots of pinks...red...chartreuse...jadeite greens...chocolates...periwinkle...with white accents. Paired with a shirt pixie cut coral pink brush fringe...and a creamy latte piping...and a luxe cotton candy pink velvet backside. Measures 23" wide x 23" long. The insert is not included. if you would like one, please contact me at no extra cost. If you forgot that souvenir on your trip to Hawaii from 1945...well here is a second chance to get it...brand newly made using original vintage materials.
