Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover with INSERT. With all the power...history and Art Deco know how...this beastly 1930's beauty has all you'll need to transport yourself back in time to South Beach 1940. A flamboyant design typical of the hotel designs populating hotels and homes across america in a way that was celebratory of innovation of textiles and the boom of humanism that was taking hold at the time. If you've ever seen me at Art Deco Weekends in South Beach...then you know this is one of my favorite patterns. A creamy yellow unused cut from the original 1930's bolt of textured nubby barkcloth...red with a tinge of blood orange...deep dark teal green...creamy dove gray...with white accents. Paired swanky with a double piping in lemon yellow and tangerine and a backside in a handsome creamy dove gray. It measures 22 " x 22" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. Wish to have lived in the 1930's no more...you can live in the moment now...at Florida Bungalow!
