Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover with INSERT! Sometimes its really hard to put a scissor to these prints...especially rare and coveted black barkcloth! This one tho...I couldn't resist as it in ever way inspired and energizes my soul...in a pattern of primo Miami Beach history...these patterns were in hotels, upholstery...draperies...and this unused nubby beauty has been protected all these many 80 years. A deep dark black ground...turquoise and creamy turquoise...candied red and pinky red...chartreuse...lemon yellow...honeydew lime...dove gray with white accents, Paired swanky with a pink piping and turquoise luxe velvet on the backside. It measures 21 " x 16" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. Queen night blooming cereus are prevalent in the desert climates...but as you can see...if flamboyance is on your radar...it doesn't matter if you dwell in Alaska!
