Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality drama and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover with INSERT. These Mexicana kitsch prints have long been staple in the 1940's 50's as a visionary eclectic mix in to other patterns of the time...a literal Mexican print made in the USA at a time when barkcloth was all the rage and designers were clamoring for more...and more...and MORE! I call this "Siesta Time"...a dreamy view of life in Mexico...a seniora carrying fruit...a banana farmer on donkey...and a senior taking a siesta beside cactus and desert flora! A nubby textured barkcloth...a off cream ground with blood orange...turquoise...lime...chartreuse...cocoa...dark chocolate...creamy pea lime...with candied pinky red. Paired sweetly with the perfect embellishments to create a true fabulous 3 dimensional piece of textile art...a double piping in turquoise and lime and a gorgeous backside in creamy pool turquoise. It measures 21 " x 21" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. Don't take a siesta on this terrific Mexicana perspective...take a siesta ON this beauty!
