Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover WITH INSERT. The iconic Panther & Palms barkcloth is one of the most fabulous of all the barkcloth patterns. Made by Spectrum Fabrics in the late 1930's for the rage of South Beach hotels in a post Art Deco era. Spectrum was first and center at the 1939 Worlds Fair Textile Expo. showcasing the innovation of barkcloth and the mass production of textiles. A deep dark teal green ground...unused...textured...nubby barkcloth...so many great colors...coral pink...coral red...soft gray...jadeite lime...minty green....chartreuse lime and lemon yellow...with black panthers and white accents. Paired with a delightful rare and expensive bustle fringe...a heavy trim that you won't find again...with a dark luxe darkest teal green velvet. It measures 23 " x 22 " in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. While panthers are dangerous in the jungle...these promise to be loving...gentle and kind and would love to cozy up with you!
