Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover WITH INSERT! A design palette ready made for some old tropical soul...someone who's understands the value of small things...diamond and pearl seekers...you will really appreciate this jewel of cotton...that is still around and unused since it was made in the 1930's for the South Beach hotel scene. The Art Deco influence is branded all over this beastly beauty. A unused textured nubby off the 1930's bolt barkcloth...varied grays...chartreuse...turquoise...charcoal...lemon...pops of vibrant lime...raspberry...bubble gum...with black and white accents. Paired with a old fashioned jadeite ball fringe with a dark turquoise upholstery linen backside. It measures 23 " x 23" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. If you can appreciate the value of unused yardage...in this iconic egret print...and you gotz da coins...how can you resist fellow old tropical at heart...soul!
