I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover with INSERT. Crazeeeeee fabulous is the name of this unusual safari primitive 1940's pillow cover! One of the most rare patterns...definitely for the one who has everything! It is called "Design Congo" and I had a bolt of this at one time...a nice heavy smooth cotton canvas...with zebras...elephants...monkies...giraffes...and tigers...with a primitive islander overseeing the manager of jungle life. A creamy off white ground...with creamy chartreuse...creamy lime...cocoa and dark chocolate...spearmint...milk chocolate...dark teal...and a unexpected creamy turquoise. It measures 23 " x 23" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. Who secretly wants to be that tribal islander spying curiously at the safari kin? Well maybe this pillow will just have to do!
