Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality drama and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover WITH INSERT. Some may find it a lil creepy...but I don't! I own a small parcel of property at the Jersey Shore...it is where I will dwell one day beside my beloveds who already are there...a cemetery that is like home...a stones throw from pop pops kitchen window where he buried my beloved nana Olive Mae...where my mom played hide and seek as a kid and where she and her friends would sit at the top of the cemetery hill and watch the ocean. I grew up there...my parents deeply committed to the rituals of tending graves...laying grave blankets of pine on holidays and always the chirps of sweet birdies. A sanctuary for sure...one not creepy...but of love. This delightful beauty could be cemetery gates or any mansion entrance from the turn of the century. A unused crisp black ground with gorgeous jadeite and dark teal greens...asparagus lime...dark lime...varied dove grays...candied red...bubble gum pink...chartreuse lemon...with black and white accents. Paired with a pink and zing of chartreuse lime and a backside of a luxe asparagus lime velvet. It measures 21 " x 18" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. Won't you meet me at the cemetery gates? I promise a whirlwind tour of some of my favorite graves!
