Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality drama and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover WITH INSERT. The innocence of such old fashioned-ness is genetic to this design aesthetic...one that literally invites our nanas to come sit for a spell. One that oozes love...cozy and comfort...beauty and a level of romance. Named after my own nana Olive Mae...a character of my stories for 30 years...an icon to our family lineage...one who equated immense worry as the greatest loves. A dark crisp black twill...with a gorgeous medley of roses and lilacs in purples and chartreuse...jadeite...aqua...mint...lavender...dark teal...with white accents. Paired with a elevated level of nana using a upcycled tufted chenille in white. Paired with a tufted chenille piping too. It measures 22 " x 22" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. On days you seek comfort...a closeness...a bond of togetherness...I know you can't replace people...but you can create spaces that make you feel a tad bit closer. I have another one also available in a gorgeous jade green and pink satin brocade.
