Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover...created from the inspirations. of Zomba in Malawi and is the capital city...this authentic pattern called "Design Zomba" was made in the 1930's as a post Art Deco enticement for america...in particular tropical climates like Miami Beach and Los Angeles...this pattern is a well known rare beauty that embodies a spirit of Art Deco meets mid century. A crisp creamy gray ground with electric lemon yellow...aqua...dark creamy turquoise blue green...asparagus lime...dark teal...coral reds and pinks...with black and white accents. I wanted to really attract the oddballs like myself who need a little crazy in their life...I used a black and white zebra barkcloth and the piping and backside...all of the fabrics in this are unused textured original 1930's barkcloth. A hidden zipper for easy stuffing of a pillow form, which is not included as it is costly to ship. Contact me if you'd like me to provide one. Measures 22"x22".
