Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover. It packs a powerful punch of color and pattern vibe that comes to life in pillow form...I used a unused cotton canvas biomorphic leaf pattern that is cut from a original bolt I have from the 40's...I paired it with a handsome black brush fringe...and a backside that a unused solid vintage pool green barkcloth that mirrors a Miami Beach pool at night with its lights on reflecting on the palms!! A colorway so magnificent...aqua jade greens...handsome tomato soup red...lime...dove gray...with black on a crisp clean white ground...having studied Miami Beach architecture and collecting fabrics from Miami Beach hotels...it is this design palette of color and pattern that would have been used with mohair and velvets on club chairs in hotel lobby bars on Ocean Drive. Paired luxuriously with a high end black brush fringe and a textured nubby jadeite green backside. Measures 22 " x 22" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. if you would like one, please contact me.
