Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover...in a design inspiration that is from my memory of crawling through abandoned boarded up Miami Beach hotels in the 80's before it came back to life. There were Art Deco elements and then oftentimes hotels would do a partial redecorating and incorporate more mid century designs in the 1950's. So you'll have a completely reversible pillow with textured barkcloth on both...the infamous "Egret Swirl" pattern and a rare mid century op art loop design...all of it tied together with a patchwork of scraps that are testament to my sustainability and how I use it in y creative process. It measures 22 " x 20" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. if you would like one, please contact me.
