Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover with INSERT...definitely one of the more rare pieces of authentic 40's barkcloth...textured and nubby and unused old stock used to create this mad swank beauty. A myriad of clipper ships...hibiscus and palms come together to fancy everything we adore about barkcloth and island life. For us tropical souls...no matter the climate we exist and have cravings too!! A huge masterful pillow made with the best of the best in every way...a crisp white ground with candied red...bubble gum pink...creamy sky blue...creamy latte taupe...asparagus lime...dark teal...blush pink...dark lime and honeydew limes with black accents. I've paired it with a very expensive honeydew lime brush fringe that adds tons of beautiful drama and elegance...a period piece of art up-cycled by yours truly...a luxe creamy lime velvet backside. It measures 24 " x 24" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form. For less than an airline ticket you can time transport yourself right onto Duval Street in Key West and watch the clipper ships at sunset.
