Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover...this one of a Miami Beach Art Deco great...evoking all the things we love about patterned tropical Art Deco. A creamy ecru latte ground with fountains of pussywillow like fireworks in the air...a magical display of what were adore about Miami Beach and its Art Deco incon-ship. Handsome with berry rusty red...turquoise green blue...minty celery...dove grays...dark chocolate...cocoas...chocolate...with white accents. A textured nubby barkcloth with a blue green solid backside coordinate with a highfalutin expensive brush fringe...something quite literally you would have seen on a club chair in a Miami hotel. How did I know? Because in the 80's I saw many of them abandoned still with furnishings and draperies still hung. It measures 24 " x 24" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. if you would like one, please contact me.
