Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.
This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover...I've always called this pattern "Leafy Rainforest" as it embodies a style that is popping and colorful like the wonders of rainforest foliage...but it is also very Miami Beach...in my jaunts through abandoned hotels in the 80's I saw so many draperies made from this pattern. This is unused textured barkcloth with a gray and creamy charcoal gray ground...you can see in the ground small palm trees...chocolate...teal...jadeite green...lemon yellow...soft pink...bright red...burgundy...latte cocoa...chartreuse...with black and white. I used a neutral fennel latte creamy green for the backside and piping trim. It measures 22 " x 18" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. if you would like one, please contact me. A sensational heart felt South Beach favorite as if you were transported back to Miami Beach circa 1940!
