John Little, an abstract expressionist artist who founded a New York company that made fabrics and wallpaper with designs inspired by abstract expressionism, He studied art at the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy in Buffalo, at the Art Students League in New York City, under Georg Grosz, and with Hans Hofmann in New York and Provincetown, Mass., In 1921, Mr. Little founded the fabrics-wallpaper company, which he called the John Little Studio. This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 inches wide of unused unwashed rare yardage in a fabulous heavy textured barkcloth...I have 10 YARDS available being sold by the yard...in one of the more collectible designs in a simple and yet statement colored deep dark teal green ground with chartreuse yellow and white...it was the spark of insight the artists gives us in what should be a simple design...yet I can't even wrap my head around the magnitude of it...so special...abstract...cosmic...flamboyant...and one of those special treasures that belongs in the hands of someone serious...a designer...a collector...or someone who has everything...so why not :) I have other yardage of this that is signed "Ballet John Little"...this yardage is signed...but it is very hard to see in the dark teal. I have 10YDS for sale...by the yard...and I have 2 long remnants that are 7YDS and 3YDS...so if you buy it all it will come in two pieces. Flawless authentic old stock barkcloth.
