This offering is for ONE YARD x 36 inches wide of unused unwashed yardage I am cutting right off the original bolt...I have 9YDS available sold by the yard at a terrific price...buy as many as you need and it will come in continuous yardage...I have also provided a photo of the bolt itself for your visual reference. A creamy jadeite celadon green ground that is really one of the sweetest colorways you can imagine...with added dark lime in the background that gives way to bold and wonderful camelia roses in flamingo pink...candied red...with golden yellow...dove gray...with black and white accents. The bolt tag says it is called "Ashley" and there is another signature on the selvedge. This is brand new old stock from the 1930's...it has a fold line down center vertically where folded on the bolt of the last 85 years. Buy as many as you need for draperies or whatever else your DIY heart has in mind. No offers on this one as I am offering it at a great sale price.
The idea of Art Deco neoclassical beach cottage was believe it or not a concept pre- Martha...it was in fact a style created in the 1930's by our very own nanas...it was that old fashioned balance of sweet and cozy...the ideology of simple utilitarian...meaning everything had a purpose...but it was truly anything but simple...it was a coming together of textures...hard and soft...drapery and otherwise...in a way that warmed a heart...made you feel safe and at home...where iced tea was originally drank from ball jars and flowers were picked from the garden for that nights dinner...it is a world we must try and make again...for if we sleep...its no longer soft...
