There was a Art Deco and mid century fascination with gazelles...it came through in pottery...chalkware lamps...ceramic tv lamps...vintage airbrush paintings...and it was ALL compatible and highly used by people throughout the 20's and 50's...McCoy Pottery was influenced by the gazelle movement and of course designers were delving into these iconic creatings as well...this pattern coined "Leaping Gazelles" from the 30's and early 40's is one of the most collectible out there and is worth its weight in gold...one that garners quite a bit made into pillows at shows...this pattern is akin to the more rare bird and panther prints and noteworthy inspiration in Miami Beach's Art Deco Movement.
This offering is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel...at a sensational sale discounted price...if you look at my shop at what I charge for unused leaping gazelles you will see just one pillow size sample of thousands....but I got these at a great deal and passing that onto you...each measures 46 inches wide x 66 inches long with a rod pocket top for a rod...signed "Spectrum Original Vat Prints" on the selvedge...a creamiest gray ground with lots of lemony and lime chartreuse going on with lollipop teal limes...bubble gum pinks...candied red...aqua blue green...charcoal gray and dove grays...with black and white accents. It is flawless and perfect. I have another one also available sold individually that has a half dollar size white spot that looks like a manufacturer defect...easily missed...some discoloration just at the bottom...easily missed and pretty perfect...strong and ready to hang. A rare deluxe treat for the eyes and tactile hands just awaiting for something of this magnitude tom come down the pike. Ask for pics of the second panel.
