My nana loved to frame things...she loved to press flowers to dry and would create these wonderful silhouettes of bouquets usually on a old hankie...pressed behind glass...she also hand cut flowers from fabrics in the 1930's and 40's and with a tiny needle to fringe edges...she used teensy tiny flowers from the fabric bouquet and glued them too pieces of old hankie or a sheet...even eyelet lace...it is THIS technique that reminds me so much of this particular fabric and the sweet little delicate flowers it bestows...would be perfect just a snippet to do what Olive Mae did or simply cut a scenic repeat and place into a frame as a gift...to self or ton another. The possibilities are endless. I grew up with Olive Mae's little framed whimsical creations hanging all over my childhood home.
