Now that I have this beautiful iconic paisley print in front of me...I am debating changing the name of my new golden lab mix puppy...PAISLEY...her name is Bernadette...Bernie for short...but sigh...PAISLEY is so perfect...especially when I feast my eyes on these wonderful 1960's electric pops of color....it's as if Twiggy and Peter Max set out to create the most sensational paisley print representing the times. Perhaps they met at the Chelsea Hotel in NYC for cocktails before venturing on to complete their mission...creating a vintage template for those today replicating the design aesthetic...the likes of Vera Bradley!
This offering is for 2.5YDS x 45 inches wide thick upholstery cotton yardage...unused and unwashed and hailing from the 1960's as an original embodiment of the era. Glorious eye popping pinks...limes...turquoise...butterscotch caramel...bubble gum pink...and white are clearly represented as the art form they are...colliding perfectly with this artful paisley print. Extremely rare and unheard of anymore to find...these textiles are really priceless in that they are scarce and unlikely out there anymore...so how can you price something so iconic and rare. I suspect a designer will have to have this an investment in their small design business...for bags...pillows...and what crafter doesn't like to create gifts for the holidays for those they love...fashioned from pure intoxicating divinity as this upholstery cotton. It is flawless and unlike any other out there.
