This fabulous and iconic print has all the makings of great art...a concoction of pure realness and the fantasy of the creator of this fantastical madness of art. It is the companion print to the infamous print shown in my last photo called "Parnassius Imperator"...which are butterflies for which this infamous rare textile was created for...a high-altitude CONFETTI of FOLIAGE abstract design in a original HUGE salesman sample...I usually don't see them created this large...and as such has grommets at the top where it would have been hung on display at a fabric shop.
This offering is for ONE huge salesman sample...it measures 48 inches wide x 52 inches long of unused unwashed pristine barkcloth from the 50's...a deluxe texture and weight of what we love about barkcloth...these fabulous confetti are so frame worthy...and of course if you own the other design Imperator...this is FOR YOU! A crisp white ground with a atomic style mottling of gray and black that add drama and movement of air and space...pinky red...chartreuse...teal lime...dove gray...burgundy...aqua jadeite green with large flamboyant swatch's of gold metallic...this artist said I am gonna use gold metallic brazenly and like its nobody's business...and they did just that. Expect museum perfection. As with all salesman samples the top and bottom edges are serged and the top has grommets...an exceptional piece to own.
