The mid forties brought an onslaught of decorator fabrics to the marketplace...it was a population BOOM...post war...a time when factories were opening and little subdivision neighborhoods...schools...stores and post offices were built all around them...many 3 bedroom and 1 bath for the modest living of a family. It was quite a time to be alive...and it was also a time we can reflect back today and really study the fine prints and see the decades of styles coming through...especially Art Deco elements in it that are very 20's early 30's...geometrics you would also see emerge again in the 70's...but the 40's is where this quirky...fun and colorful piece hails. With a abstract cityscape theme meets Honolulu mod...with a shoo screen textured printed ground. I am loving this.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 48 inches wide of unused unwashed cotton upholstery sheeting yardage...I have 3YDS available being sold by the yard. A buttery yellow ground tone on tone...withe a concoction of darkest chocolate...golden chartreuse...lime and turquoise with black...white and industrial gray accents. Signed "Best Obtainable Vat Dyes". Expect brand new perfect old stock.
