These CRAZEEE philodendrons are acting out wildly and outrageous on a raspberry ground...the colors so intoxicating the philodendrons look like they are being catapulted off the fabric...the artist who breathed life and movement into this Art Deco gem was brilliant in their conveyance of their vision...with movement in lines and use of unexpected colors such as orange...make the leaves appear to leap off the fabric. A print iconic to Miami Beach's renaissance that took the world by storm in the 30's and 40’s with patterns of tropicals that were never seen before. Just to have this in my personal visual to write about it and study it's beauty...is such a textile blessing.
This offering is for ONE YARD x 48 inches wide of unused unwashed yardage...I have TWO YARDS available sold by the yard...the more you by the more will come in continuous yardage. A deep dark raspberry purple red ground with these sensational TWIRLING elephant ear philodendron...dramatic charcoals...grays...minty green...teal lime...ORANGE...with black and white accents! Its just beautiful and the talent of the artist conveying such movement of the leaves is just nothing short of fantastic. A thick and nubby barkcloth...hailing from the early 1940’s and in the same perfect condition as when it was made. If you love perfect...love to revel in perfect old stock...love to be transported back to 1944...well have at it!
