Mural fabrics began making its debut around the mid 40's post Art Deco. These textiles were mostly commercial for hotels and business space. You can see this particular pattern one that would have hung swank-ly in a Miami Beach Art Deco hotel...it has all the makings of something extraordinary...including a bonus signature on the selvedge "Cohama Hand Print Spring Glory"...complete with a colorway second to none...minty seafood greens...jadeite...chartreuse...purple pinks...lavender...deep dark regal burgundy...creamy charcoal with black accents and a fabulous gold Lurex threading woven into the fabric. Mural fabrics were meant to have only one repeat per run...and this beauty is no exception! For the right soul...perhaps you'd want to create a framed floor to ceiling piece of art on a wall that craves something large...grand and a scale that allows her to reign her beauty appropriately!
This offering is for 3.7YDS x 49 inches wide of a slub rayon cotton mix....unused...unwashed...still has a little marker tag attached to the bottom corner...unbelievable colors that together create the magnitude of something very special...certain Miami Beach Art Deco colors...while this entire piece of fabric measures 3.7YDS...the mural takes up approx 84 inches of that entire piece...leaving the remainder of the top a solid woven creamy ground with Lurex threading...you can see scrunched up at the top in the photos...and you can see I have shown the pattern in its entirety in the far away photo shots. It is in brand new immaculate condition as if stored in a time capsule. Signed "Cohama hand Print Spring Blossoms". Expect perfect.
